  1. Opinions Issue 1 (c) 1992 Linton Dawe

  3. This is the first issue of the Opinions disc
  4. magazine for users of Acorn Risc-OS machines.  It
  5. contains news, reviews, and Public Domain
  6. information and is produced by Linton Dawe.
  7.  
  8. To read the magazine double click on the !Opinions
  9. icon in the filer window to load the main program.
  10. After loading, a contents page will be displayed
  11. and you should click on the icon for the section
  12. that interests you (any button).  The screen will
  13. fade out and after a short wait the first page of
  14. your selected section will be displayed.  Clicking
  15. on Next Page will take you to the next page in the
  16. magazine (even if it takes you into the next
  17. section) and clicking on Opinions Contents Page
  18. returns you to the contents page.  Once again, any
  19. mouse button is allowed.  When you have finished,
  20. press Escape to quit the !Opinions text reader.

  22. Further issues of Opinions are planned for the
  23. near future and I would welcome any articles by
  24. readers for publication in a later issue.  See the
  25. magaizine for details.

  27. If you have a particularly badly stocked or
  28. expensive source of P.D. and you wish to obtain
  29. future issues of Opinions or any of the P.D.
  30. software mentioned in the Public Domain pages
  31. directly from me, you can do so by sending a blank
  32. disc and a £1 coin to cover costs, but this should
  33. not prove too much of a problem to most readers.
  34. If this disc cost you seriously more than about £2
  35. then I would recomend that you find another P.D.
  36. library - it is usually possible to obtain
  37. software for around £1.50 or less per disc.
